The only song Fred Godfrey wrote with the great Northern Irish lyricist Jimmy Kennedy, who went on to have a huge career in the United States. Talbot O’Farrell sang it on Variety stages in 1937 — for example, at the Chelsea Palace (April 1937) and the Empress, Brixton (May 1937) — and in Australia the song was performed by Jim Davidson & His A.B.C. Dance Orchestra.
